These are my preferred headbands for any craft. They do not give me headaches and they work perfect for my mickey ears. I have both glued fabric onto the headband and spray painted the headband directly. Both applications worked great.

The clear headband is a lot more clear then shown in the photos, which is great! Also the value for the price is fantastic. I just had a problem with I felt the headbands were too long, as in the ends don't nestle behind my ear well, it feels like it digs in a lot. (The 1" plastic headbands of the same type did not feel this way though), and it is emphasized by the edges not being smooth on the back edge (the top is all smooth though). This is not an issue if you cover them with ribbon, but I wanted to use them plain and clear. I was able to grind down the bottom edges 1.5cm less (the plastic is good quality and did not shatter on a belt sander, it grinds smooth) and then it felt good. Just was a bummer for my use is all for the extra work. :(
